Analysis of Lean Management Components in Education – A Qualitative research method based on grounded theory

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to analyze the components of lean management and develop an appropriate model of lean management for Iran’s educational system. In this research, a qualitative research method based on grounded theory with Strauss-Corbin model was used and semi-structured interviews with 11 elites were continued by purposeful sampling method until theoretical saturation was achieved. To ensure the validity of the instrument, expert review and to ensure the reliability of the data, the non-participating elite review method was used.The results of data analysis around the paradigm model in 37 Components including: causal causes, 7 Components (introduction and promotion of pure methods, role of experts,…), environmental conditions, 8 Components (position of local educational leaders, compliance with laws and policy makers,…) Context factors, 9 Components (capacity of laws and regulations, compliance The main body of the system,…) strategies, 6 Components (re-engineering in education economics, professional selection,…) and consequences, 7 Components (education excellence, stakeholder satisfaction,…). After analyzing the data, "value creation through identifying and eliminating maximum losses" was identified as the main phenomenon.
